Frenchies are genetically predisposed to inflammatory bowel disease and chronic diarrhea.
• Frequency: If your French Bulldog has frequent bowel movements that deviate from its normal routine, this can be a sign of chronic diarrhea.
• Consistency: Watery or very loose stools are common in chronic diarrhea. The consistency might also change frequently.
• Lethargy: General fatigue or decreased energy can occur if diarrhea is affecting your dog’s overall health.
• Color and Odor: Stools may be unusually foul-smelling, and the color might be abnormal, such as black, red, or green, which can indicate the presence of blood or bile.
